The American Academy of Neurology, an international professional association of more than 21,000 neurologists and neuroscience professionals, has just published new clinical guidelines on the treatment of spasticity in children and adolescents with Cerebral Palsy. Click here to read their press release. These guidelines were developed after a rigorous review of the medical literature by top neurologists and scientists. Basically the consensus of the workgroup found that Botulinum Toxin A is an effective treatment for spasticity in children and adolescents with Cerebral Palsy but does carry some risk. I’m not sure if I publish this question in the right place, but I hope You will give me some info. I have a doughter with left side hemiplegia.We are doing a lot of things including Boutulinov toxin but the last thing i have information about is the Kinesiotaping. Pls if some of You have an oppinion about useing it like e cooperation therapy let me know.
